This series of oil paintings was initiated during my pandemic-induced isolation, then expanded over time to include over 50 works produced on canvas, panel, and paper.
 
Inspired by the intensely bright colors of artificial flowers purchased as diversions at a local variety store, I sought escape through capture of their vibrant hues as filtered through my free-ranging imagination. Stenciled shapes have been applied for enhanced imagery, pattern, and visual texture.

The paintings that have emerged feel like mysterious portals into and out of my subconscious, a domain that is immersive, dream-like, and quite surprising. The air is strange; curious images lurk. All is afloat and in flux.
